Enermax Revolution 85+ 1250W Power Supply
Enermax was founded back in 1990 and since then their name has always been at the top echelon with the highest performance power supplies. Unlike many companies who hire OEMs to build their units, Enermax design and manufacture their products directly. Also, it is very rare that you will see an Enermax design with another company’s logo on the box.
Today we will take a look at their new flagship PSU, the Revolution 85+ 1250W. Enermax never fail to impress when releasing new products and once again their new Revolution85+ range boasts better performance figures than we’ve ever seen to date. We will find out today if new records are going to be set.
Manufacturer’s Features and Specifications
Packaging and Bundle
The Revolution85+ is supplied in a thick cardboard box. There is absolutely no artwork on the box besides the logo of the series but there is a wealth of information about the unit itself at the rear and the sides of the package. Inside everything is well secured and protected with smaller cardboard boxes.
Inside the box you will find a well written manual, stickers with the company logo, 4 basic screws, quality cable straps and a bag to store the unused modular cables. There are three PCIe cables allowing the connection of up to 4 PCIe video cards, two Molex cables with three connectors each and four SATA cables with four connectors each allowing the connection of up to 18 SATA drives. The cables are sleeved with the black-gold sleeving Enermax is using for most of their latest products, but sadly the SATA and Molex cables are sleeved only up to the first connector.
