Final Words and Conclusion

What We Did Like

It appears that Enermax wanted the Revolution85+ 1250W to deliver incredible performance. The electrical performance of the product is nothing short of record-setting, with its efficiency reaching the highest figures we’ve recorded to date. Matter of fact most of the competitive products will have a hard time reaching the minimum efficiency the Revolution is able to deliver.

This extremely high efficiency aids the thermal performance of the Revolution, which in turn severely improves the acoustics performance as well. The Revolution85+ 1250W is not only one of the coolest running 1kW+ units but it most likely is the quietest one too.

Last but not least, Enermax not only used some of the best quality components available but they also opted for the most advanced circuits we’ve seen inside a consumer PSU to date.

What We Did Not Like
Very little! A minor complaint could be the half-sleeved cables because those who care about aesthetics a lot would certainly like a more complete sleeving job.

The only thing that could keep the Enermax Revolution85+ 1250W unit from becoming a major seller is the asking price, which is nearly twice as high as other products with a similar maximum output.

Who Would We Recommend It To
It would be hard not to recommend the Revolution85+ 1250W to anybody looking for a very reliable product with the maximum possible overall performance. The efficiency of the unit is setting new records and at the same time it delivers excellent thermal and acoustics performance. The high price could drive away many potential buyers, but there are only very few products which can compete with the performance of the Revolution85+ 1250W at this point of time.

Summing up the above, the Enermax Revolution85+ 1250W unit earns our Heavenly Hardware Gold Award.
