Introduction

Corsair’s HX series of power supplies are considered to be some of the best an enthusiast can purchase. We reviewed the HX620W and the HX1000W months ago and found them to be excellent products, among the best in their respective categories even today. But with an end user limited by the choice between a 620W and a 1kW unit there has been a huge gap between these two products. In order to fill that gap Corsair recently released two more HX series units, the HX750W and the HX850W. Today we will review the larger and more promising of the two newly released models – the HX850W, a product loaded with features and boasting some very strict specifications.
