Asus W90VP – A Closer Look

The Asus W90 is tucked away inside a rucksack included with the bundle. You’ll certainly need it to transport this mammoth desktop replacement. The bundle includes all necessary documentation and driver/recovery CDs, a huge power supply, a bluetooth mouse and a remote control with a signal extender.

The first thing you will notice about the Asus W90Vp is its immense size. The unit measures 44.3 x 32.8 x 6.3cm and weighs 5.2kg… it also contains a colossal 18.4" display – it would be fair to say this is a desktop replacement in the truest sense of the word. The chassis is extremely well constructed and there is a quality feel throughout. The materials all feel durable and the panel around the keyboard and touchpad has a lovely brushed aluminium finish to it, as does the lid.

The laptop also carries some very stylish accents such as sports car inspired speakers and vents as well as small textured leather touches. There are a total of six Altec Lansing Dolby Certified speakers throughout which provide respectable sound for a portable device – however there is still a slight lack of warmth and power.
