Intel give official ‘seal of approval’ to Windows 7

Intel have made a public statement a few days ago saying that 97% of its test community would recommend Windows 7 to their colleagues. These claims were made after a 3 month evaluation with individual Intel employees. In a bold move Intel have also stated that they plan to initiate Enterprise deployment of Windows 7 at the start of 2010. This will replace everyones favourite Windows XP which is at present on their company computers. Intel never made the internal move to Vista which is quite a surprising fact to read.

Intel also made it known that the technology in Windows 7 is much improved when compared to Windows XP in regards to power consumption, performance and most importantly stability – bearing in mind that these tests were actually carried out on a pre release (beta) version of Windows 7.

Many other companies are set to follow Intel’s move so we could be finally seeing the death of Windows XP, which has been living on for longer than Microsoft desired thanks to the low public appeal of Windows Vista.
