Apple add Tesco as iPhone partner

Product image

Supermarket giant Tesco have announced a joint partnership with O2, which allows them to sell the iPhone. Details of the exact date of introduction are not yet confirmed but it is sure to be a popular move with the UK public.

The handset will be sold through Tesco’s Phone Shops and the Tesco Direct website meaning it is unlikely it will be appearing on shelves instore which is probably a very good thing for instore ‘impulse’ buyers – it might be hard to justify to the wife how a simple trip for eggs and milk ended up costing several hundred quid. Price plans for the phone are yet to be confirmed but we would assume since they are working with O2 that the rates will be identical to their own.
