Fujitsu employees stand down from strike

All is not well in the land of Fujitsu as a portion of their workforce was set to have a three day strike from tomorrow onwards. Bosses in the company agreed to meet with them to discuss proposed cuts on pension plans and to try and delay redundancies. Fuji plans to announce 1,500 job cuts which means this week has seen huge job cuts across the sector from Electronic Arts to AOL.

Unite are the union behind the proposed strike and they stated that Fujitsu had made promises that they would not take any action against staff who have not heard of this last minute change of heart and walk out regardless. This means no one will be sacked until the 31st January 2010 while the pension debates are ongoing.
