Danamics LMX liquid metal cooler

Danamics LMX liquid metal cooler

Product image

Damamics new LMX cooler was announced a few months ago (successor to the LM10) and it is finally hitting the retail market with a price around 190 euros (£170).

The cooler has an electromagnetic pump which circulates liquid metal through the LMX without the need for any moving parts – this means that the cooling should be excellent and there will be very little power consumption with no moving parts to ‘fail’.

Danamics have stated that the LMX will provide a 300 percent increase in the liquid circulation compared to their older LM10 and an iron core is also incorporated to reduce the units magnetic field by 1000x. This cooler is 158.2mm x 170.5mm x 90mm and supports Intel 775, 1156 and 1366 and well as AMD’s AM2, AM2+ and AM3 sockets.

While the unit sounds massively impressive it is going to have a hard time competiting with the Corsair H50 which retails for almost a third of the price.
