F1 2009 now for iPhone

Codemasters have announced that iPhone and iPod touch owners will soon be able to experience the entire Formula One 2009 season on their devices with the release of Formula One 2009.

The game is already released on the PSP and Wii and whilst many agree it doesn’t provide the authentic race simulation that many fans of the genre would like, it does offer the only way of experiencing the season just ended in all its glory. Likewise, this isn’t the first racing game on the iPhone, but it already looks like being the best and pushes the Apple device to its limits in terms of graphics.

So if you fancy yourself as a bit of a Jenson Button or a Sebastian Vettel then this may well be the game for you, especially until a bigger version for the 360/PC comes along. The game also includes all 17 tracks including Monaco and the new Yas Marina Circuit in the United Arab Emirates and has all 10 teams and 20 drivers that competed in the 2009 season.

The game is in the App store right now!
