WoW 3.3 in trouble already

Just a few hours after release in the US and the latest update to World of Warcraft seems to be causing a lot of issues.

Already, players are complaining of odd bugs, servers going down, slow running and random, unreadable messages coming up on screen. Some are already expecting a fast 3.31 patch to fix the issues, although regular players will no doubt remember previous patches to the game which have not always gone smoothly.

It is hardly surprising given the size and scale of the updates, but the problem doesn’t seem restricted to the game with Battle.Net also suffering down time during the evening. Most of the issues seem to be attributed to large amounts of players logging on, but no confirmation has been given from Blizzard as yet.

At the time of writing, the servers remain down for maintenance and there is no word on when they will come back online.
