God Of War 3 Receives 18 Rating

The God of War games have always been violent and graphic affairs and it seems that the third installment of the hack-and-slash / puzzle hybrid will be no different.

The British Board of Film Classification has awarded the game an 18 rating meaning fans of the series can expect no compromises in the style of the series. The good news is that it has been passed without any cuts being made, especially as the storyline is meant to be more in depth than the previous two games. The BBFC submission said “When submitted to the BBFC the linear elements within the work had a running time (eg. cut scenes) of 189m 45s” making it the longest in the trilogy.

The release date for the game hasn’t been officially announced yet, but Sony are expected to release the game in the UK during the same week it’s launched in the United States, which is penciled in for March 16th.
