LEGO Star Wars: The Clone Wars To Be Released

LucasArts and TT Games today announced the upcoming release of LEGO Star Wars III: The Clone Wars. The franchise has continued to go from strength to strength and the development team are suggesting this will be the best in the series to date.

The game will be available across a wide range of platforms including Nintendo Wii, Nintendo DS, Playstation 3, PSP, and Xbox 360 in the Autumn of 2010.

LucasArts president Darrell Rodriguez said of the project:

“LucasArts continues to set the bar for next-generation family entertainment. The LEGO Star Wars franchise is a massive hit with fans, bringing in sales of over 20 million units worldwide. We’re thrilled to extend this experience to LEGO Star Wars III: The Clone Wars, delivering the humour and fun players expect from this award winning franchise.”

The game is set to appeal to all Star Wars fans by including all of the characters from the animated Clone Wars series as well as the big names from the Star Wars. As with previous incarnations players will also be able to design their own levels via an improved level builder tool included with the game, allowing them to rewrite science fiction history as they see fit.

Although it is being created by the very same team that have made each previous incarnation of the LEGO Star Wars series, they have promised that they have made some significant improvements and listened to feedback from players. If so it could prove to be the slickest entry in the series so far.
