Splinter Cell: Conviction Release Date Set In Stone

Ubisoft confirmed the release date of Splinter Cell: Conviction will be on the 13th April, but not in the usual manner. US journalists were sent stones with “4.13.10” written on them, a reference to the storyline within the game.

Not surprisingly the stones didn’t shed much light on when the European release date would be, but it is reported that it is likely to be the same week, round about the 16th April. With such a methodology used to announce the game it most likely means there will be no further delays that have prevented earlier dates from being met.

The game will feature a co-op mode and a new deathmatch mode where players can face-off and stalk one another from the shadows. The single player mode has also promised an “evolution” in the stealth genre. There is also an experience point system that will allow players to customise the look of their stealth agent.

The game will be released on both Xbox 360 and PC.
