MS to End Support for Vista and XP SP2

A-g Requirements For High School Microsoft has released information that it will no longer support Windows Vista and Windows XP SP2 giving dates of July 13th 2010 for Vista and April 13th 2010 for Vista.

What this means is that if you are running these versions then it is time to upgrade your operating system to at least Vista SP1 and Windows XP SP3 to continue receiving Windows Updates.

“Microsoft believes it is important that all customers take action prior to the end of support date, not only so that they know their options and can prepare, but also to ensure their environments are as secure as possible,” said Microsoft.

Of course Micrsoft is suggesting the best course of action is to upgrade to Windows 7.
