Overclocking Hexacore Processor Using LN2

If you want to see benchmarks on a Liquid Nitrogen cooled hexcore processor and see how it scales from 2, 4 and 6 cores then head on over to this video here.

Bodar, a member of Team Guru3D, has been overclocking an Intel’s Xeon hexcore processor and it seems most games do not benefit from going to 6 cores, however Left 4 Dead 2 shows excellent scaling from 113 frames per second (dual core), to 156 frames per second (quad core) and finally to 193 frames per second with all 6 cores enabled.
AMD are set to release their new hexcore processors codenamed Thuban for the consumer market very soon according to rumours flying around and Intel are to release their 6 core processors imminently also.

It is exciting times for overclockers and hardware enthusiasts to see what kind of benefits hexcore processing is going to bring to the desktop market and whether AMD can close the gap on performance with its multi-core processors.
