Dell Adamo XPS Laptop – Introduction

There is no doubt that in terms of a powerful ultraportable laptop the Macbook Air has the design perfected, though Apple have not completely dominated that marketplace… yet. Decent lower cost machines with compact size or excellent battery life from companies such as Sony and more recently Acer have ensured that there is some competition in that area and about 12months ago Dell went out to capture some of Apples consumer base with their original Adamo. Initial impressions of the Adamo were that it had a good design and felt well built, the user experience was also good but due to the specification and cost it was not as popular as it could have been.

That could change in the near future as Dell has recently released their refreshed Adamo XPS, a machine which follows a similar design ethic to the original but aims to increase performance to ensure it is competitive in the current market. Today we have an Adamo XPS on our test bench and will see, in a selection of real world tests, what the latest high end Dell machine can do.
