Dell Studio XPS 7100 Review

Dell Studio XPS 7100 Desktop PC

Over the last few years we have looked at quite a few Dell machines on Hardware Heaven from netbook style machines, through standard laptops to the ultra-high-end systems they offer on in their Alienware brand. Throughout that time one thing has been apparent, Dell knows how to build systems to suit particular groups of consumers. It could be the compact, quiet media system which we reviewed in January or the new M11x which we covered last month. Each had a design strategy which was meant to appeal to a group of consumers.

Today Dell is back with a new system which is aimed at maximising productivity for home users, students and professionals who are on a budget. The Studio XPS 7100 is AMD Vision Black certified and prices start at £479/$499, ideal for the back to school period. So let’s see how it performs for us in a selection of real world tasks as well as a little gaming.
