Back in March NVIDIA started releasing their range of DirectX 11 cards with the launch of the GTX 480 and GTX 470. Those were followed in May by the GTX 465 and in July by the GTX 460, one of the first cards in the range to be priced at a mainstream level. NVIDIA further enhanced their range last month with the value orientated GTS 450 which brought the same features as the higher specification models to a new, lower price and performance sector.

Today NVIDIA release the latest card in their DirectX11 range with the launch of the GT 430, a card which is designed to replace the GT 220 in their product catalogue and be an ideal upgrade for those who have integrated graphics. We have Zotac’s GeForce GT 430 Zone Edition on our test bench and have run it through a selection of real world tests to establish where it sits in the current market.

Tests include gaming, 3D Vision, PhysX, CUDA (GPU Computing) and 3D Blu-Ray playback so by the end of this article we will know exactly what NVIDIA’s new budget GPU is capable of.
