Gigabyte GeForce GTX 470 Super Overclock Review

When AMD launched the Radeon 6800 series last week one of the main impacts it had on the industry was NVIDIA and their partners decision to drop the price of the GTX 460 and GTX 470, making them a desirable alternative. This price drop was of course right across the range of these cards and so overclocked/enhanced versions also fell to a new, lower price point which enhanced the value available on these products.

Today we have one of the top end GTX 470′s on our test bench, the Gigabyte GTX 470 Super Overclock. It features custom PCB, cooler and the fastest core we have seen on a GTX 470 to date. We will be putting it through a selection of tests including Medal of Honor, Fallout New Vegas (3D Vision), F1 2010 (DX11 Patch) and 3D Blu-Ray playback to find out how much Gigabyte have improved on the reference design.
