OCZ RevoDrive X2 240GB PCIe SSD Review

Last month we had the opportunity to review a very impressive product, the OCZ RevoDrive. This new SSD which was based on PCIe technology was the fastest storage device we have ever tested, exceeding SATA 6GB/s Crucial C300 SSD by some way and in some tests performing over 100x faster than mechanical drives. For some manufacturers that would be enough to last them at least 6 months or so but not OCZ as they have just released the RevoDrive X2, an updated model with enhanced speed (yes, really!) and capacity.

We will be putting the RevoDrive X2 up against the original and one of the top performing SSDs on the market, Crucial’s SATA 6GB/s based C300 256GB to find out how they compare in a selection of synthetic and real world tests. By the end of the review you will know exactly how OCZ’s latest product will affect your daily PC use and productivity.
