Radeon 6850 Toxic vs Reference Radeon 6850 / Radeon 6870

Throughout this review we have tested the 6850 Toxic against the GTX 460 but the comparison with the reference model and 6870 is also interesting so we have run each through Crysis: Warhead to see how they compare.

We run Crysis: Warhead at 1920×1080 with enthusiast settings.

Benchmark Results

Results in this test go pretty much as expected. The Toxic is faster than the standard 6850, taking it closer to the performance of the 6870. We shall see later in the review if an overclocked 6850 Toxic can match or exceed the reference 6870.
