Corsair SP2500 2.1 Speaker System Review

Back in September Corsair surprised many people with the launch of their first audio product. Having quietly hired some impressive talent from the audio industry and then designing a product with no information leaks the HS1 USB gaming headset was launched to a significant amount of praise. In our own review praising its high quality construction and clear and spacious sound while gaming in 7.1 mode. In addition to this Corsair also managed to price the headset at a level which made it exceptional value when compared to competition from Sennheiser and SteelSeries.

Since the release of the HS1 we have seen Corsair return to their roots with the release of a new DDR3 brand, Vengeance, while working away in the background on a selection of audio products. Three of those products launch today, one is an updated version of HS1 with 3.5mm connectors rather than USB (HS1A) and the other is two brand new products.

The Corsair SP2500 and SP2200 are a range of 2.1 desktop speaker systems and today we have the higher specification SP2500 model connected to our system. Read on to find out if Corsair has managed to translate their success in the headset market to a desktop speaker set.
