Earlier today NVIDIA and their partners launched the GeForce GTX 590, their new top of the range graphics card. With two GTX 580 based GPUs in one exceptionally designed product we have been impressed by the card in both our single card review and quad SLI article.

Now though it’s time to take things to the next level… Today NVIDIA released their updated driver, 267.84 and we have taken that, 5 recently released games (including Crysis 2, BulletStorm and Shogun 2) and tested at 1920×1080 and 5760×1080 with the 6990 and GTX 590 overclocked to their limit. Read on to find out which is faster when both are pushed as far as they will go on a heavily overclocked Intel Core i7-990X.
