We have looked at the performance of the multi-player demo on some previous reviews however today is the first time that we have been able to test the single player campaign and with it the retail version of the game. The most significant change from the demo tests to this review is that we can now select the Extreme graphics profile.

When we looked at Crysis earlier today the GTX 590 had very strong performance in comparison to the 6990, with the maximum clocks selected the Point of View card further extends its lead. Looking at the 1920×1080 results first we see a situation where the NVIDIA based card is essentially twice as fast as the Radeon with current drivers. At 5760×1080 the gap is again massive and the GTX 590 gives us completely smooth gameplay whereas the 6990 suffers from some stutters.

Here are some examples of how the game looks at our tested settings.
