Point of View NVIDIA GeForce GTX 590 Overclocked Review

HAWX 2 – DirectX 11

HAWX 2 was recently released for PC and makes significant use of Tessellation as well as being a DirectX 11 title.

Testing was performed at 1920×1080 with 8x anti-aliasing and 16x anisotropic filtering and 5760×1080 with 4x AA. All in game settings were at their maximum level.

For some time now NVIDIA have been championing their cards ability to perform well when a significant amount of tessellation is present in games. One such game is HAWX 2 where we have seen each of the GTX 500 series cards outperform the comparable Radeon, this is despite AMD putting some considerable effort into optimising tessellation in their drivers. In the case of the overclocked GTX 590 vs. Radeon 6990 OC the same trend continues with our Point of View model giving exceptional framerates throughout.
