After removing the side panels we can see the main chamber of the case which is completely painted black. It has a CPU cut-out to aid us during the installation of our cooler back-plates and there are some pre-cut holes to help with cable management.

As we previously mentioned this foam covering adds weight to the side panels, making them heavier than most panels weve seen recently.

The PSU is raised off the bottom of the case by four rubber feet which reduce noise and vibration. Above the PSU location we find seven standard card slots which feature thumbscrews. Above these we get a clearer view of the 120mm silent fan which uses a 3-pin connector with Molex adapter.
Professional Writing Portfolio In the top right location we find the three 5.25" optical drive bays. The top two bays feature tool free install via a plastic clip. Beneath the 5.25" bays we find seven 3.5" bays, one of which can be converted to a single 2.5" bay using the plastic caddy provided. The plastic caddy can be moved to any of the 3.5" drive bays and the top four bays can be removed to support a video card longer than 11.1" long.
The bottom 5.25" optical drive bay features a pre-installed X-Dock, converting it to a 3.5" bay. The top of the Silencio 550 is a single panel, which doesn’t feature space of a fan. As the case is built for quiet rather than optimum airflow and cooling this choice is understandable.
