OCZ Vertex 3 Max IOPS 240GB SSD (Solid State Drive) Review vs Crucial M4 (C400) and Intel 510 Series

OCZ Vertex 3 Max IOPS 240GB SSD

Back when we reviewed the original Vertex 3 it arrived in a plain black box but this model gets the full retail treatment. We get a stylish box with plenty of product info on the front and inside is a sticker, short manual and a bracket to convert the drive for installation in a 3.5" drive bay.

The SSD Toolbox is available, for free, at OCZ’s website and allows us to manage and maintain our SSD. We can view basic information on the drive, such as firmware version and perform more advanced tasks such as firmware updates and Secure Erase operations via this tool. It is simple but effective and works well, even if the overall look and feel could do with a bit of an overhaul.
