Sapphire Ultimate Radeon HD 6670 Graphics Cards Review
DiRT 3 – DirectX 11
DiRT 3 features a new version of Codemasters EGO engine which, like the DiRT 2 and F1 2010 versions, features support for DirectX 11. DirectX 11 mode is enabled by selecting ultra-detail and from this we gain improvements such as enhanced lighting and advanced tessellation.
Testing was performed at 1920×1080/1680×1050 and ultra in game settings were enabled.
As Sapphire bundle DiRT 3 with their 6670 Ultimate (as well as additional cards in their range) it is important that we get a good gaming experience in this title and the card doesn’t disappoint. We are able to enable 1680×1050 and Ultra/DirectX 11 mode and achieve playable framerates which is great for a £80 card.
Here is how the game looks at our tested settings.
PowerColor offer their own branded version of the liquid cooled R9 295 X2… and now for those who want a similar level of framerate they have their air cooled dual core R9 290X with Devil 13 branding. Today we take a look at this R9 290X2 to see what Powercolor can do with their custom design card in a selection of games including Battlefield 4 and GRID Autosport at 4K resolution.
