For those with the latest generation of Core i3-i7 CPUs (socket 1155), or consumers considering the purchase of one, there are a wide range of motherboards available to choose from. These started with the H67 and P67 chipset based models back in January and then just a month or so ago the range was expanded with the release of motherboards built upon the Z68 chipset.

Today we will be taking a look at three different approaches to socket 1155 products as we review a board based on H67 (mini-ITX) and two larger models which use the P67 and Z68. Each will be put through a selection of synthetic and real world tests to establish how they perform in a variety of scenarios which will assist anyone thinking about buying a socket 1155 product in the near future.
