Portal 2 – DirectX 9

Portal 2 is the sequel to the 2008 release which is regarded by many as an all-time classic. The game uses Valve’s Source engine, the same technology as Half Life 2 and Left 4 Dead which means it should perform well on most recent hardware.

Testing was performed at 1920×1080 and high in game settings with 8x anti-aliasing/16x anisotropic filtering.

We start the performance section of this review with Portal 2 and it is fair to say that the 6950 breezes through this test. Even at maximum in game settings we are still averaging over 200 frames per second which is exceptional.

Here is how the game looks at our tested settings.
