Over the past few years ASUS have made it their goal to expand into new product areas, marketplaces where they could take their experience of producing quality components and create new lines which would impress consumers. One of the more successful branches of products is the Eee range which started with the Eee PC. Another is the high end soundcards they offer such as the Essence STX which is considered industry leading. ASUS also have a successful sub-brand in the form of Republic of Gamers which offers enthusiasts some exceptional motherboards, graphics cards and laptops.

Recently ASUS and their Republic of Gamers brand announced the Vulcan ANC headset, a high end gamer product which is designed to offer great features, build quality and design. Included in this is active noise cancelling technology which will appeal to those who game, or listen to multimedia, in a noisy environment. Today we have the Vulcan ANC attached to our system as we find out whether it can compete with headsets sold by manufacturers such as Razer and SteelSeries.
