PCMark 7 was released recently and as with the previous versions of the software we can target specific components in our system, testing their performance.


Benchmark Results

PCMark 7 features a set of storage tests which attempt to recreate real world performance scenarios such as importing images, converting media and scanning our drive for malware. Each offers different challenges for our drives and in the various areas we can see the minor tweaks to the drive architectures having benefits. In some tests the OCZ drive peaks higher, in others it is the Corsair. Interestingly, and unexpectedly, we actually end up with both drives scoring the exact same in the overall score… a first.
