OCZ RevoDrive 3 X2 (480GB) - Bootable PCIe Solid State Drive Review

Performance vs. RevoDrive X2 and RevoDrive

Throughout this review we have focused on the RevoDrive X2 and Agility 3 as comparison products but to end the review we thought it was worth adding in an extra couple of comparison products, the original RevoDrive and a recent SATA2 model, the Samsung 470 series.

Benchmark Results

The above results really show how far SSD technology has come in a short time, and the performance gains which can be achieved from spending extra money on higher specification models. Moving from a SATA 2 based drive up to the RevoDrive 3 X2 for example gives us nearly 6x the read and write speed.
