Patriot Wildfire 120GB SSD Review

Benchmark Results

ATTO disk benchmark allows us to run a synthetic test on the various drives which are being reviewed today, letting us see the peak speed achieved on each model.

In this review we are comparing the Wildfire to its two nearest competitors, the Marvell based Intel 510 Series and Samsung 830 Series… giving the competitor drives the best chance to compete by using their 2xxGB models. This allows us to see how the three architectures compare and in the first test, which mainly focuses on speed, we see that the Patriot drive with its SandForce architecture has the lead. The gap on read operations is quite small compared to Samsung but the write gap is significant in favour of Patriot.
