Our build starts with the installation of a motherboard and power supply. The main cavity has plenty of space for both, though the exhaust fan does sit very close to the top of the PCB. When we begin wiring we see that Lian Li has provided some space behind the drive bays for cable management and that our 6870 was a perfect fit for the system without removing the drive caddy. Speaking of drive caddy, the drive installation is quick and simple. Add a rail to the side of each drive, slide into place and lock with the bar which runs down the side.
So let’s take a look at the performance…
Intel Core i5-2500T
Case temperatures were measured using AIDA64, Realtemp GT and GPUz after 10 minutes of the case sitting with no activity and 10 minutes of each load test. Load was applied to the system using Prime95 and Furmark. Ambient room temperature during testing was 30°C.
(NOTE: The object of this test is not to compare the results with alternative products as there are too many factors which can impact thermal performance.)
Considering we are using the reference cooler for CPU and GPU as well as a passive heatsink on the motherboard chipset the temperatures recorded are good for this class of case. The key feature is however noise levels which, as the video below demonstrates, are very low.
