NVIDIA GeForce GTX 560 Ti 448 Cores Graphics Card Review
GIGABYTE GTX 560 Ti 448 Cores with Windforce 3
Our GIGABYTE sample was provided without a box or extras but past experience tells us to expect a thorough bundle with this card. Including all the cables and connectors required to get a consumer up and running.
Like ASUS GIGABYTE also go for a card design which is very different to the reference model and as well as having three fans, aluminium fins and copper heatpipes this is an ultra-Durable VGA card. That means that GIGABYTE have built it using 2oz copper PCB, Japanese solid capacitors, Ferrite Core chokes and Lower RDSon Mosfets which all combine to enhance overclocking potential as well as reduce voltage ripples, reduce power switching loss and reduce circuit impedance for stable current and higher efficiency.
Also worth noting is that the Windforce 3x cooler design contains vapour chamber technology as well as three heatpipes.
GIGABYTE also go for 2×6-pin power connectors and their outputs are just as thorough as ASUS with DisplayPort, HDMI (gold plated) and two Dual-Link DVIs.
The core on this model is set to 732MHz and the 1280MB of DDR5 memory is set to 950MHz. There are 40 ROPS and for the CUDA Cores this is of course a 448 design connected to a 320-bit memory bus. PCIe 2.0, DirectX 11 and DirectCompute are all supported on this card as is acceleration of high definition content and the card can output audio over HDMI as well as support Stereoscopic 3D and PhysX.
PowerColor offer their own branded version of the liquid cooled R9 295 X2… and now for those who want a similar level of framerate they have their air cooled dual core R9 290X with Devil 13 branding. Today we take a look at this R9 290X2 to see what Powercolor can do with their custom design card in a selection of games including Battlefield 4 and GRID Autosport at 4K resolution.
