Enermax Revolution87+ 850W Power Supply Review

Enermax Revolution87+ 850W Power Supply Review

Back in July and August we were fortunate to review a couple of Enermax latest PSUs, the MaxRevo and Platimax. The former offered power levels which would suit ultra high end users and the latter was a little more suited to those who wanted similar performance but an added touch of efficiency which took the PSU design into 80 Plus Platinum territory.

Not everyone can afford 1000w+ units though, especially platinum certified products which always come with a premium so to cater for the mainstream Enermax has just released their Revolution87+ 850w model and we have one on our test bench today. Can it impress us as much as their new enthusiast models, let’s find out…

Packaging and Bundle

Enermax package their Revolution87+ in a box which very much focuses on the Gold Certification in its design. Inside we find the PSU on display, surrounded by cardboard which flips open to reveal the bundled items.

Bundled with the PSU we get a decent manual, screws for installation, cable ties, case sticker, cable bag, modular cables and a cord-guard which stops out mains cable (also bundled) from being kicked out of the PSU accidentally.
