Motorola Razr (XT910) Smartphone Review

There was a phase a number of years ago when Motorola released a few handsets that really captured the imagination of consumers. Devices like the Pebl appealed to one set of consumers while another got excited about the Razr V3. Since then though it would be fair to say that few devices from Motorola have captured interest in the same way, not to say that their handsets have been low quality but it is very hard to maintain that level of interest and success over time.

More recently Motorola have seen some success though with the Xoom tablet being somewhat of a reference device for that marketplace and the Atrix offering something a little different for more advanced users.

Looking to capitalise on their ever growing experience with Android and the success of those older V3 and Pebl products Motorola announced the new Razr (or Droid Razr) towards the end of 2011. This new device in the Razr family features unique high quality styling with some impressive specifications and aims to sit at the top of the smartphone market. Today we take a look at one in detail to see if it can compete in that area.

Packaging and Bundle

Motorola give us minimal product information on the front of the Razr box, opting for a textured surface with a clear image of the handset. The back gives us some product information and upon looking inside we find the handset suspended on a cardboard shelf and wrapped in a protective cover.

Separated off to the right under a cardboard cover we find the bundled items which include product documentation, USB cable, charger and an in ear headset.
