G.Skill RipjawsZ DDR3 2133MHz 16GB (4x4GB) Review

When Intel launched their X79 chipset a few months ago it brought to market a new memory architecture based on quad channel technology. This was a significant increase over their dual channel mainstream architecture, AMDs too and even the previous high end models which were based on triple DIMM setups.

At first we saw a wide range of kits based around 1600MHz and 1866MHz on this new platform with manufacturers switching between 8GB and 16GB packages. Now though we are beginning to really see them get to grips with enthusiast requirements with the result being high capacity, high MHz modules.

G.Skill have recently released their latest enthusiast modules in the form of RipjawsZ and today we have the 2133MHz, 16GB kit on our test bench. Let’s take a look at them…
