Noontec A9 Smart TV Box Review

Today we have the opportunity to review the A9 Smart TV Box produced by Noontec. Noontec is a company located in Shenzhen, China and was established in 2002. They now have 600 employees and sell 1.2 million products to 36 countries and regions around the world.

The A9 Smart TV Box maybe Noontec’s first Android media player but it is far from the company’s first media player, that was released in May 2004 and by 2009 they had launched a full HD version and were selling over 1,200,000 media players annually. Now Noontec offer six other media players including the A6II NAS Media Station which uses the same external case as the A9 Smart TV Box.

Today we will find out if the Noontec A9 has what it takes to offer a decent upgrade to Smart TV (Android) functionality for those who don’t want to move to the latest HDTV with the features built in.

The Noontec A9 Smart TV Box is packaged on a in a white cardboard box which has similar dimension to the device, being square in terms of length and width but shorter than the square in terms of height.

The lid of the box has a clear image of the A9 Smart TV box with the optional wireless mini keyboards and some graphics listing functions and possible apps.

The sides of the box are equally bereft of specification, showing us only the product name and some images with the bundled remote control and optional wireless mouse.
