NVIDIA GeForce GTX 680 Kepler vs Radeon 7970 Max Overclock Graphics Card Review

Maximum Overclock

On the last page we covered how overclocking on the GTX 680 works using the EVGA PrecisionX tool but what was our maximum overclock on this card?

Stock OC Stock 3D Mark OC 3DMark
1005/1502
(1059 Boost)
132% Power
+153MHz Core
+540MHz Mem
(1264/1772)
X3170 X3650

By maxing out the power target slider we found our stable core offset was +153MHz with memory offset of +540MHz, This allowed our card to peak at 1264MHz core with full stability and memory hit 1772MHz (or 3544/7088MHz depending on the calculation used). This gave us a 3DMark Extreme profile score of 3650, 500 points better than the reference settings.
