GeIL Black Dragon 2133MHz 8GB DDR3 Memory Review

The X79 chipset from Intel brought with it a new memory architecture, taking enthusiast users from tri-channel on the X58 to quad channel. Since then memory manufacturers have been quick to push out new modules with enhanced speed and capacity to ensure high end users get the most from their systems.

One manufacturer pushing DDR3 to ever higher specifications is GeIL and their latest range, called Black Dragon, features some rather attractive styling and LEDs as well as speeds well in excess of 2000MHz. We have the quad channel kit in our test system today and will find out what it offers in a selection of real world and synthetic tests.
