MSI GT683DXR Laptop – Operating System and Software

MSI install Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit on the system and include SP1 as well as a numerous updates.

While we like to see a system have as many Windows updates installed as possible at the factory what isn’t so good is a system filled with needless extra software. Sadly MSI fall into that category and the system is packed with needless bloat such as the resource hungry and intrusive Norton suite, photo viewers that take over from the default (and perfectly acceptable) Windows photo viewer and an outdated version of Flash.

Finally we have the BIOS which on this model uses Aptio code. There are no performance options present on this system however all of the standard items are available.
