SilverStone are a Taiwanese company that produce a range of PC products, from cases to coolers. Today we’ll be looking at the SilverStone DS321, a dual-bay USB HDD enclosure. For those looking to add some quick storage capacity to their PC could this be the answer?



Packaging and Bundle

The DS321 is supplied in a medium sized cardboard box. The packaging is simple, featuring a black and blue design, with a picture of the DS321 on the front. The front of the box also highlights the key features of the DS321, a major one being its support for USB 3.0. Also highlighted are the raid settings supported by the DS321 which include non-raid, RAID 0 and RAID 1.

Turning to the rear of the package we find a list of the technical specifications of the DS321. We also find some additional pictures of the enclosure, giving us a good understanding of how the DS321 looks.

The DS321 is also supplied with a USB 3.0 cable, to connect to our PC. While supporting the USB 3.0 standard the DS321 is fully backwardly compatible with USB 2.0 ports. Finally the DS321 is supplied with an external power supply which has universal auto-switching.
