ROCCAT Savu Gaming Mouse and Taito Gaming Mousepad Review
Today on our test bench we will be looking at two new products from ROCCAT. Firstly we have a brand new mid-range gaming mouse, the Savu. Featuring a unique 4000DPI optical sensor and ROCCAT’s Easy-Shift[+] system the Savu looks to set new standards in its price bracket.
We will also be taking a look at the Taito gaming mouse pad. The Taito comes in three sizes, the mini, mid and king and is also available in two heights, 3mm or 5mm. We have the mid-sized 5mm version to test with the new Savu mouse.
Packaging and Bundle
The Savu is packaged in a compact box which has a large graphic of the mouse on the front of it. The box features the styling that we have come to expect from ROCCAT with an angled cut away on the right hand side. The front of the box also features a note of the key features of the Savu, such as the 4000DPI sensor and the customisable multi-colour lighting.
Turning to the rear of the box we find more features listed as well as another graphic of the mouse. The features of the mouse are also provided in multiple languages.
The left hand side of the box features photographs of the Savu from various angles, along with a list of the package contents and a note of the technical specifications of the mouse.
As with other ROCCAT mice we have reviewed the Savu is supplied with a quick installation guide and a ROCCAT ID card. The ID card allows us to register for ROCCAT World, the community site that all ROCCAT product owners should register for.
The Taito Mousepad is packaged in a long, clear plastic container with the mat rolled up in the middle. The label features a note of the size and height of the mouse pad, in our case the mid-sized 5mm version, along with a note of its key features.
The top of the package contains two samples, one being the top surface of the mouse mat and the second being the base. These highlight two key features of the Taito, on its surface it is incredibly smooth; however the base offers plenty of grip to keep the mat secure on our desktop.
