ROCCAT Kone XTD Gaming Mouse Review
Roccat Kone XTD Gaming Mouse Review (and Hiro Gaming Surface)
Over the past few years we have looked at a wide range of gaming mice. From basic models aimed at gamers on a budget to extreme, highly configurable products targeting enthusiast players there have been a number which have impressed. One of those was the Roccat Kone[+] which was so impressive it has been used by a few of our staff for quite some time now.
For all that the Kone[+] is a great gaming mouse the market has moved on since its release and newer, higher performance sensors have been released. This has prompted Roccat to refresh their Kone range and today we look at the new high end model, the Kone XTD with its 8000dpi+ technology.
Packaging and Bundle
The Kone XTD is packaged in a compact box which features the familiar Roccat style. The front folds open to reveal the mouse suspended in plastic and the box is absolutely covered in product information with each side telling the consumer a little more about the mouse. The bundles with previous Roccat mice contained more items but here we simply get a quick install booklet and a case with weights, more on that later. For drivers/software we head to Roccat’s site.
