Wireless devices are everywhere nowadays, from consoles and PCs to phone and tablets, even TVs and DSLR cameras connect wirelessly view or share content. Home storage however tends to be more wired. That could be a NAS or home server or an external hard drive. Looking to find a space somewhere in between, the best of both worlds, is Patriot Memory with their Gauntlet Node.
The Gauntlet Node is a drive enclosure designed for 2.5inch traditional and solid state drives using the SATA interface. Not only does the Node turn our drive into a USB 3.0 device, it also allows it to be accessed wirelessly from our smartphone/Tablet or PC.
Packaging and Bundle
Patriot Memory package the Gauntlet Node in a box which shows a nice clear image of the product. There are key features listed along with it and worth noting is we are informed that apps are available from the iOS and Android marketplaces (Kindle Fire support also available).
Inside the box we get a selection of documentation, mains plug, power/charging cable, screws/covers and a USB 3.0 cable.
