PNY XLR8 Pro SSD Review

PCMark 7

Benchmark Results

Using the storage suite tests from PCMark 7 allows us to see the performance of each drive in controlled scenarios which should replicate real world use. Overall ths is a decent result for the XLR8 drive, exceeding 5400 points and performing at a higher level than the Neutron drives from Corsair which use Link-A controllers as well as the Vertex 4. There would be little difference in real world use between the likes of the Intel 520, Force GS and PNY drives here which would leave the purchasing decision down to pricing if considering those models.
