New Razer Blade (R2) Laptop ReviewOver the past year or so Razer has created quite a lot of press for itself with items such as Project Fiona, now called the Razer Edge and even with their Switch Blade design which has evolved, in a way, to the DeathStalker keyboard. These systems have all shown that Razer is looking to offer more than just peripherals and one item, more than any of the others, shows just how serious they are about expanding. The Razer Blade (or New Razer Blade as we are now on a second revision) is a high end Ultrabook aimed at gamers. With a mobile i7 CPU, GeForce GTX 600 series graphics and a unique touch screen track pad it offers something that little bit different to the norm. Today we put it through a selection of real world tests including Crysis 3 and StarCraft 2 Heart of the Swarm. |

Packaging and Bundle
Razer package their Blade system in a box which has some significant product branding on the outside, though information is limited other than a sticker on the side of the box listing key specifications. Inside the external box we find a nicer, presentation box which is suspended in foam and upon lifting the lid we find the laptop sitting above the bundled extras.
Bundled with the system is product documentation, mains cable and of course a power brick. This is a compact PSU, not much more than 1cm in height and it offers 120w of power to the integrated 60Wh battery. |
