AMD Catalyst 13.4 WHQL Drivers Released

AMD Catalyst 13.4 WHQL Drivers Released

AMD launched its first WHQL-signed Catalyst Software Suite in three months, with the Catalyst 13.4 WHQL, coinciding with the launch of Radeon HD 7990, earlier today. The Catalyst Software Suite installs device drivers and system software for AMD Radeon GPUs, IGPs, and integrated HDMI audio devices, in additional to AMD APP runtime environment, and certain media acceleration software.

It could still be a little while before we get the change-log from AMD. In the mean time, feel free to check out these drivers. In addition to official support for some of the recently launched AMD GPUs, such as the Radeon HD 7790 and HD 7990 “Malta,” we’re expecting (hoping, rather), that AMD will have addressed some of the CrossFire scaling and frame-latency issues.
